For those of you who don't know- our baby girl will be here within the week! I will be induced on the 2nd if I don't have her naturally before then. Both the doctor I met with last week and the one I met with this week are predicting I will go into labor naturally before then, but we will see. I am at a 4 and 75% effaced, so it could be soon. Either way we are excited that it is going to be this week! We are anxious to meet her. We actually have been anxious and ready for a couple weeks now, but I think there is a greater Hand at work here- and there is a reason we haven't had her yet. About a week ago we had minor colds go around, and yesterday Will had the stomache flu, so I am so glad she didn't come during those times. We need all the germs out of our house before she comes! Things happen for a reason; I know that- and I am glad she is waiting until everyone is healthy. I just hope no one else gets the stomache flu now; we felt so bad for Will yesterday. It broke our heart to see him so sick. He seems all better today, and we are glad to have him talkative and acting like himself again.
Well maybe my next post will have a picture of a newborn baby girl! Yay! I'm so excited!

Father's Day
I know it's a bit late, but I just realized I never did a Father's day post. And the Father's in my life deserve a little recognition!
First of all, to my wonderful husband and the father to my children.

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. I can't imagine a better husband and father to my children. He is more than I ever could have hoped for. One of the best things is how much he is home. He works from home more than he goes in the office and the cool thing is he wants to be home with me and the kids, and we never get tired of him! You may think that is an exageration but we really don't. When he is gone for a couple of hours I miss him! I am a little spoiled by how much time he spends with us- I will take all I can get. :) He is wonderful with our children. He shows them so much love and attention. He can make them laugh so hard b/c he is the fun dad that tickles and wrestles with them, and does silly things just to get a smile out of them. He also is right beside me and on equal terms with me when we have to discipline and I love him for that. Our kids are so lucky to have such a loving, caring father who spends quality time with them, and I am so lucky I found him.
Now to the other Father in my life, my dad:

Words cannot say how much I love him! He is so thoughtful and kind. He hardly ever feels well, but yet when I call him on the phone he doesn't seem to want to dwell on himself he just wants to know how I'm doing. He is one of my favorite people to talk to. He is loving and sweet; he has the ability to make people feel good b/c he is not afraid to give compliments (he has given me numerous over the years and it has made me a happier person), he jokes around and has a good time with anyone- even people he's just met; he is a wonderful people person- so outgoing and friendly. I think all of us kids and grandkids love his attention- he has so much love to give, and we love to be with him. He is interesting to talk to and we all have fun when we are with him. That is him in a nutshell- and we love him so much!
And to a Father I have never personally met, but yet I love him:

This is Billy's dad. He passed away when Billy was 15. Billy has told me some wonderful things about him and it sounds like he was a great dad. I am sure part of who Billy is is because of his dad, so I have to love him for helping to raise such a wonderful son. But I also feel love for him b/c I have felt his love. Billy says that he gave the best hugs- and you could really feel his love when he'd give you a hug. Well, maybe he is able to desperse his love in a different way now. I am greatful for his spirit that we have felt from time to time.

Adalynn's birthday
Adalynn is 1 now! Her birthday was actually the 17th, but I wanted to wait until after I had her pictures from her party to put up a post. We had a great birthday party for her, as you can see in the slideshow. She got some wonderful gifts- toys and clothes! It was great; and she actually tried to open 2 of them, so that's not too bad for a one year old.
On her actual birthday we went to Cold Stone as a family. If you are not a member of their birthday club you should join! You get free ice cream on your birthday (the coupon actually expires a week after your birthday so you don't have to go the day of). Anyway, so Will and Adalynn had Cold Stone for the first time on Adalynn's birthday. We got the free ice cream which was a pretty good size, and we all shared it. It was enough for all of us too! It was really good. I brought the camera with me while we were there and took some pictures of Adalynn sitting with her Daddy eating ice cream. I think they are very sweet pictures. Billy is such a good Dad- so loving with the kids. Take a look at these pictures though!

Don't they look alike! It's weird, b/c normally when I look at her I think she looks more like me as a child, and people have commented before how she looks like me. I've always known that in some ways she looks like Billy, but this is the first time where I really saw it clearly. And isn't it funny how they are making the same exact expression in that picture where they're dazing?! I thought that was pretty funny.
Well, it was a fun time celebrating Adalynn's birthday. We love her sooo much! She is our sweet little girl, and I can't imagine life without her. Here's something I wrote about her in my journal when she was about a month old "Sometimes when I hold her we just stare at each other, and as I look into her beautiful eyes and hold her close to me, I think, She is an angel! She is so sweet and precious and innocent. I can already tell she has such a sweet spirit. She is someone special. My sweet little angel! I love her so much!" I still think she is so sweet and special, she just has a lot more personality now! :)
other news
Billy and I decided to put an ad in the Beehive advertising his wedding photography. It will appear in the July issue. I am so impressed with Billy for designing our website completely on his own. He had some things to complete though, and since we decided to advertise in the Beehive, he has completely finished the website. So if you'd like to check it out the link is www.lifeslides.com. Let us know what you think! We'd love input. (I think Billy is very talented)
Other news is that I feel like I really am at the last stages of this pregnancy! I am 36 weeks this week, so it's kind of crazy that it could be anytime now. I have been having a lot of contractions lately- both real and Braxton Hicks, so my body is getting ready. Although I am not going to get my hopes up; I still really think that even though I'm having contractions here and there every day that doesn't necessarily mean she'll come early- I still think I might go to my due date or maybe even beyond. We will see. But it is cool that it will be soon either way! I am getting anxious to meet this little baby.... But then again I REALLY wouldn't mind if she waited a couple weeks. I still need a little time to get ready. Adalynn has just gotten used to no bottle and only sippy cups as well, so it'd probably be good for her not to see a bottle for a couple more weeks. She might have a hard time when the baby comes, but I hope the adjustment won't be too bad. The nice thing is is that Billy has 8 weeks paternity leave so we are really looking forward to that part! And I know with Billy being home all the time it will make the adjustment for the kids so much easier.
So we are looking forward to it. I will keep you posted with any exciting pregnancy updates (if there is anything).
